Harvest Centre will host a fund-raising event at Hout Bay’s multi-purpose sports hall on Saturday February 16, starting at 11am. The event caters for 5 to 10, 11 to 16 and 17 to 20-age categories. Tickets are R30 for adults and R15 for children older than 7. Entry is free for those under 7. Harvest Centre chief executive, Helena Fagan, said the centre runs projects to develop various skills, improve self-esteem and to help children discover and further their talents. Saturday’s event will feature Hout Bay’s own Mix Masala band along with MC Spike Parker, Cee Jay and hip-hop artist, Q Rock. Anyone willing to sponsor a prize, or snacks for the contestants and judges or sponsor an outfit for one of the participants, are welcome to contact the organisers.
