Fire broke out at the Tintswalo Resort in Hotel at Chapman’s Peak Drive near Hout Bay this morning.
The Fire and Rescue Service dispatched five fire engines, two water tankers and a rescue vehicle with 26 fire fighters.Â
Cape Town Fire and Rescue Service spokesperson Theo Layne says, “The fire is contained currently. No injuries have been reported.”
The cause of the fire remains unknown.
This is the second fire at the resort in the last few years.
In 2015, the hotel had to close for a couple of months after it was ravaged by fire.
