Police are investigating whether a house robbery in Longkloof Road on Sunday July 1 is linked to one that took place last week.
According to Hout Bay police spokeswoman, Warrant Officer Tanya Lesch, three armed men wearing balaclavas and gloves broke open a door to enter the premises on Sunday night.
“The victim, his wife and child were at home, and the home was locked up when the suspects broke in. They took bank cards, three cellphones and laptops before leaving,” Warrant Officer Lesch said.
The robbery was similar to one last Wednesday, June 27, in Hout Bay, except on that occasion three men gained access to the Mount Rhodes home through an open window.
Again the men made off with valuable electronics.
“We are conducting DNA testing on evidence gathered at the scenes to see whether the two robberies are linked,” Warrant Officer Lesch said.
