Hout Bay International School’s PYP6 class presented their end-of-year exhibition last week.
The exhibition, held at the school on Wednesday November 22, marked the end of the students’ International Baccalaureate (IB) primary years programme (PYP), and, as such, they were expected to carry out an extended, collaborative enquiry project.
The exhibition represents a significant event in the life of both the school and student, synthesising the essential elements of the programme (knowledge, concepts, skills, attitudes, action) and sharing them with the whole school community. The students showcased their understanding of the Organising Theme ‘Where we are in place and time’ and enquired into issues impacting local and global communities. They did not disappoint, as they presented with confidence and enthusiasm, keen to share their findings and knowledge while also showing great passion for their individual topics.
