Martial arts students bag medals

Students representing the Xia Ke Xiong Kung fu and Tai Chi School based in Hout Bay and at the College of Cape Town Crawford Campus, took part in the South African Wushu Federation championships, in Roodepoort, at the weekend, winning more than 30 gold medals. The championship was suspended for two years due to the outbreak of the Covid-19 pandemic. A flowing and graceful Chinese martial art, Tai chi is excellent for promoting physical and mental well-being in people of all ages, says head instructor Xiong Changsen.
