The Dominican Grimley vaccination site in Hout Bay will be closed from Wednesday December 1.
According to Natalie Watlington, spokesperson for the provincial Department of Health, the building is needed by the Western Cape Education Department.
The Denis Goldberg House of Hope arts and cultural education centre in Hout Bay is now being prepped by provincial health to become the next vaccination site.
“Western Cape Government Health is in the process of finalising arrangements with House of Hope in Hout Bay to establish this site as a new vaccination site as it is easily accessible to both Imizamo Yethu and Hangberg communities. Details regarding operational days and times will be communicated shortly,” Ms Watlington said.
She further encouraged the community to attend their nearest weekly pop-up sites, with the next one being held at the Hub in Hangberg today (Friday December 3).
