Little Angels went through a turbulent time following the destruction and devastation of protests in the Hangberg area.
Executive mayor of Cape Town Dan Plato and ward councillor Roberto Quintas delivered edupacks, a kitchen starter kit, including gas burner and stove, gas, pots and dry goods on Thursday September 10. The donation came just in time as Little Angels are preparing for the opening of the ECD in two weeks time.
“I would also like to say thank you to Oceana for their wonderful support over the years and special thanks to Bearfish Strategic for being our biggest supporters,” said Liezel Matthews, founder of Little Angels.
“They helped me to start feeding three weeks after the arson,” she said. The feeding programme is now known as the Bearfish feeding programme and feeds residents of Hangberg and Imizamu Yethu.
