Hout Bay police are investigating the murder after a man was shot and killed in Imizamo Yethu in the early hours of Friday July 28.
Police could not provide the victim’s name and age.
According to Hout Bay police station commander Lieutenant Colonel Jerome Syster, the man had been on his way to visit his girlfriend, across the road from him in Naidoo Street, when he was gunned down.
The girlfriend heard shots outside her home. She tried to call her boyfriend, but when his phone just rang, she went outside to investigate and found him lying next to his car. His cellphone had been taken.
