Man arrested for nephew’s murder

A 39-year old Hangberg man was arrested on Tuesday in connection with his nephew’s murder, say police.

On Friday November 17, at 8am, a 23-year-old man was shot dead after an argument broke out between the accused and his sister’s son in Rhodevos Road, according to Hout Bay police chief Captain Jerome Syster.

“The man was shot in the head and declared dead on the scene.”

Police had spent a few days searching for the uncle before tracking him down in Hangberg, he said.
