Kronendal Primary School teacher, Jerome Daries, was meant to spend his last few months in teaching before going on to retire. But, when the government decided to once again close schools, the Grade 5 teacher decided to call it a day on Friday July 24. After 21 years and seven months at the school, he arrived with cake and surprised the school, also making his announcement that his teaching days have come to an end.
