Llandudno residents donated a washing machine, tumble dryer, stove, lounge suite, airfryer, vacuum cleaner and gym equipment to the Hout Bay fire station last month. According to City Fire and Rescue Service spokesman Jermaine Carelse, the items were bought from more than R85 000 raised by the community, and R10 000 was also donated towards a table at the Firefighters Ball, on Friday November 24, in aid of the Red Cross War Memorial Children’s Hospital’s burns unit.
