Stationery returned

Ward councillor Roberto Quintas addressing some of the pupils who were affected by the fire and lost their stationery.

A recent fire in Imizamo Yethu left 24 families homeless and destroyed numerous belongings, including the stationery of six pupils who were preparing to start their schooling at Silikamva High School (“Fire gets IY off to a bad start in 2020”, Sentinel News, January 10). Their plight was not ignored. Local organisation, Tula Tula Hout Bay and the local ward councillor, Roberto Quintas, joined forces to gather the necessary stationery needed.
