Sentinel Primary School’s three soccer teams were the victors at a soccer tournament at the weekend.
The school’s junior teams are on a winning streak after they were crowned the winners of two separate soccer tournaments last month (“Soccer champs,” Sentinel, September 13).
The matches were held at Kronendal Primary School on Saturday September 14.
Oranjekloof Mor Primary School, Hout Bay Primary School, Disa Primary School, Hout Bay International School and Llandudno Primary School took part, according to Sentinel Primary School vice principal Debbie Schröder.
“Our under-11s, under-9s and under-13s were all crowned as the champs at the tournament,” she said.
Coach Kevin Titus said: “My goal for our teams is that we become obsessed with improving and that we can enter leagues someday.”
Under-13 players Tayo Lott and Cleverly Masunda said the tournament was challenging but exciting. Manchester United is their favourite team.
“My soccer player I look up to is Kylian Mbappé. In the future, I hope I can play in the Premier League one day,” Cleverly said.
