The body of Bronwen Houghton has been found.
Ms Houghton, 63, of Plumstead, was reported missing last weekend.
“On Thursday, a recovery operation started on Chapmans Peaks Drive, Hout Bay. At 12:30pm a body was recovered by Wilderness Search and Rescue and the Metro Rescue helicopter lifted the body near the Lookout point,” said Hout Bay police spokeswoman Warrant Officer Tanya Lesch said on Friday morning.
“The body was later identified by a family member and a friend at the Salt River mortuary. The body was of a missing person, Bronwen Houghton, a 63 year old woman that was reported missing on Saturday. An Inquest docket was opened. SAPS would like to thank all role players involved in the search and rescue.”
