Sandra Griffiths, Llandudno
The statement by Kiki Bond-Smith in the story “Llandudno’s SRA woes” (Sentinel News, June 30) that this was on a one person, one property voting system is not correct.
I voted against the motion but as I refuse to sign on to the SRA, my vote was torn up. I have been a property owner and resident of Llandudno since 1972.
Every person in South Africa has a right of reasonable access to coastal public property. It is therefore not possible for the SRA to enforce access control and surveillance in Llandudno as if it were a gated community which is what that aim is. There is a misguided idea that there is anywhere in the world which is totally crime-free.
