After only a few short months of pool freediving, Bevin Reynolds is making waves in the international arena with her debut performance at the International Association for the Development of Apnea (Aida) World Championship Competition at Jeju Island, South Korea. She won a silver medal overall, beating many seasoned freedivers, making her the Vice World Champion for 2023. She won a gold medal for a bi-fins dive of 232m, a silver medal for a 241m mono-fin dive and silver for a 180m dynamic-no-fins (DNF) dive - all on a single breath. Ms Reynolds did crowdfunding to raise funds to take part in the competition (“Diving into the record books”, Sentinel, December 9, 2022).
