The art department at Kronendal Primary School ran a school wide art project to honour South Africa’s essential workers. The department produced 360 lanterns from 360 students.
Tin cans were brought from home and then frozen with water. Nails were tapped into the side to make holes and finally they were all presented in the hall with a candle for everyone to enjoy and reflect about how they “let our light shine”, which is also the school’s motto.
