Youth Day (June 16) with NPO Lalela began with the power of words by Lalela spoken word artists and was followed by mural painting alongside graffiti artist, Ramon Mellet. The mural signified how language had helped to change the world of the youth. The day culminated in a life-changing exchange with Henry Mathys of the V&A Waterfront Our Community Programme, when he gifted Lalela with a generous sponsorship of a class for a year, through the charity’s Classroom Campaign.Â
