A 30-year-old Hout Bay woman was airlifted to hospital on Thursday after she reportedly fell out of a boat, according to the National Sea Rescue Institute (NSRI).
The incident happened just after 1pm and the NSRI’s Hout Bay duty crew and other emergency services went to the woman’s aid, said NSRI station commander Spencer Oldham in a statement.
The woman, believed to an employee on a charter boat, was brought to shore where she received first aid before being airlifted to hospital in a stable but serious condition, said Mr Oldham.
