Four Hout Bay pupils from Camps Bay High School took part in the Talent Africa Performing Arts National Competition in Port Elizabeth from April 26 to 29. The regional trials saw these pupils selected along with two other pupils from the school for the Western Province team. All four Hout Bay pupils have been selected to represent the South African team at the Talent America International Competition in New York in July. The four pupils who qualified for the South African team are Sienna Widd (placed in the top 10 vocalists and awarded two gold medals), Kiera Kresfelder (placed in the top five instrumentalists, placed second overall for the 15 to 17 age group and awarded two gold medals), Giulia de Chaud (awarded three gold medals) and Francois Kemp (awarded one gold and one silver medal).
