The five Hout Bay fishermen who were reported missing on Sunday February 2 after they had gone out to sea to fish, have been found, unharmed, in St Helena Bay.
The fishermen had lost contact with their families and thereafter, their boat’s communication was also interrupted on Sunday.
Hout Bay police confirmed that the Neational Sea Rescue Institute as well as SAPS divers hit the waters to search for the missing fishermen but confirmed on Wednesday that all five fishermen were later discovered, along with their vessel at St Helena Bay.
They were unharmed and safely returned to their families.
A police source said: “They were checked out by the medical personnel and all of them were fine and unharmed. We just glad they are safe.”
