The Denis Goldberg Legacy Foundation Trust is hosting a youth fun day at the Hangberg AstroTurf on Youth Day, tomorrow, Saturday June 16.
The fun day will include 100 youths from all across Hout Bay.
“It will be a fun packed, educational experience and enlightening to all who attend.
“Fun-filled sports such as a five-a-side soccer tournament, tug of war, sack racing, three-legged racing, an environmental quiz, environmental awareness talks and lots more activities have been lined up,” said Sidney Phillips, chairperson of the organising committee.
The fun day will start at 8am, having an afternoon intermission for a DA co-ordinated programme. It will the resume from 2pm and conclude at 4.30pm.
The programme is as follows:
* 8am to 8.30am: breakfast
* 8.30am to 11am: a variety of games
* 12pm to 12.30pm: lunch
* 2pm to 4pm: resumption of games
* 4pm to 4.15pm: light snacks will be served.
* 4.15pm: the day concludes with trophy
