Public Order Policing officers clashed with protesters in the Hout Bay harbour on Thursday night.
The protesters, angered after a meeting with representatives from the Department of Agriculture, Forestry and Fisheries failed to materialise, once again took to the streets, burning tyres and setting off flares.
Fires were started on Atlantic Skipper Road and near the Bay Harbour Market. A fire was also burning near the Fish on the Rocks restaurant.
Petrol bombs were also thrown at police, who took cover behind walls.
The situation remains tense.
