Hout Bay Grade 1s started their school careers with excited faces and beaming smiles this week. When schools reopened for the new school year on Wednesday January 9, more than 1.1 million pupils started school across the province – 108 325 of them Grade 1s. Western Cape Education Department MEC Debbie Schäfer welcomed pupils back to school and wished them the best for the rest of the year.
