Electricity interruptions for Hout Bay

Hout Bay can expect some power cuts this month when the City carries out repairs and maintenance to the Bisschop electricity substation. The work will be done from 8am to 4pm on the Wednesdays of February 21 and 28, the City said in a statement. The electricity supply could be restored at any time and residents should treat all electrical installations as live for the full duration of the interruption and switch off appliances to avoid damage caused by power surges when the power returns.
