Women from Re.Bag.Re.Use gathered at the Hout Bay library on Tuesday to show off some of their handiwork in honour of International Crochet Day. The project was started by Regine le Roux during the pandemic and has seen more than 62 000 plastic bread bags re-purposed and crocheted into eco-friendly products over the past two years, reducing landfill waste while supporting the community. Some of the proceeds from sales of the products support the Neighbourhood Old Age Homes and the SPCA. Explore their creations at www.rebagreuse.com or call 083 302 1528.
