City reduces staff at facilities

The City of Cape Town will reduce the number of staff at their our offices to 60% to comply with the social distancing that is required as the country records an increase in the number of coronarivus (Covid-19) cases.

As from today, there are 554 confirmed cases throughout the country.

Mayor Dan Plato said: “The City is doing all it can to protect its employees, and residents visiting our offices across Cape Town. We are in the midst of an unprecedented period that calls for greater awareness and interventions.”

Customer offices will remain open, however, the City is reducing the number of employees at these facilities and offices to limit contact between staff.

Residents are advised to, where possible, conduct their business online, rather than visiting the City’s Customer offices.
