Author delves into Israeli–Palestinian conflict

Observatory author Andrew Brown was at the Book Lounge on Wednesday October 18 for the launch of his latest novel, The Bitterness of Olives. The story about the delicate friendship between a retired Israeli detective and a Palestinian doctor and how they work together to solve a murder is set against the ongoing Israeli-Palestinian conflict, which has boiled over in the past two weeks following the deaths of thousands of civilians, first in a massacre by Hamas and now in subsequent Israeli air strikes on Gaza.
