Nur Felix will launch his debut album, We Are All We Need, at the Nassau Auditorium, on Saturday May 7, at 7pm. This singer, songwriter and guitarist from Athlone has been sharing his message of peace in theatres and at music festivals and community events across South Africa for the past decade. Nur's music and music videos have been featured on TV, in documentaries, and on radio. His song Peace Date, co-written with Nancy Beaudette, was nominated for the Global Peace Song Awards in Los Angeles in 2018. The Cape Town Festival and Rootspring NPC, a non-profit music production and events company, are hosting the album launch. The concert will include performances by violinist Rayelle Goodman (Cape Town Philharmonic Orchestra), backing vocalist Mpumi Sizani, bass player Josh Hawks (Freshly Ground), backing vocalist Ruby Paton, saxophonist Trevor Ray Parker, keyboardist Desmond Blake and drummer Byron Asher.
